Description of the artwork «Kind of running the Park in Marienburg (Old Park)»

Park in Marienburg – happy for Julia Clover plot. He himself thought so, and wrote him repeatedly. "Kind of running the Park in Marienburg" in 1878, brought its Creator the title of academician of painting. The picture was sent to the International exhibition in Paris, where she was also accepted favorably by audiences and critics. Clover often painted Gatchina Park. Painting called "the Park in Marienburg" for the most part are in private collections, and the first, the one happy at the Kiev national Museum of Russian art.

In the absence of attention to detail the picture is characterized compositional clarity, much of the attention of the artist to nature. Clover rarely depicted middle of a Sunny day, the brush the sweeter the sunset, occasionally the sun, or the sun in the gloomy weather. "I write all sorts of landscapes, but to truly know a sunset in its different moments and gnarled trees, bent by bad weather and winds"– he admitted. In this light the prospect of a Clover reports great and masterful light and color.

"The old Park" leaves a surprisingly holistic sense: the old stairs, the setting sun the tints of the sunset sky, shining curved branches of a flowering tree in the foreground, the leaves of water lilies and the reflection in the water is the feeling of grace, the spring awakening of nature, tranquillity and serenity. Looking at this landscape, you catch yourself on the desire to take a deep breath, filled with fresh, spilled in the air, feel the melody of this space. Landscapes involving water Clover especially melodic music, they literally sound ( "Fishing village", "Pond with white lilies", "Lake with water lilies",
"Autumn Park","Fishing village".
