The Chuvash State Art Museum is the largest cultural center of the Chuvash Republic. The museum has a significant collection of works of domestic and foreign art. It hosts exhibitions, tours, lectures, meetings with the creative intelligentsia, presentations, and concerts.
Currently, the museum funds number about 20 thousand works. Among them are the masterpieces of Russian, Soviet, world art, represented by such names as V.A. Tropinin, K.A. Korovin, A.I. Kuindzhi, Z.E. Serebryakova, N.I. Feshin, A.I. Mitts. The museum is also the keeper of the artistic values of the Chuvash ethos, unique examples of national applied art.
