Soumaya is an art museum in Mexico City, Mexico.
Founded in 1994, since 2011 it has been located in a new six-storey building. It was built with funds from billionaire Carlos Slim in his hometown of Mexico City to display a personal art collection of over 66,000 pieces.
The value of the exhibits is about $ 700 million. The construction of the museum cost about $ 34 million. The name of the museum is associated with the name of Slim's wife, who died in 1999.
