Description of the artwork «Burning giraffes and telephones»

In the symbolic series of Dali, the burning giraffe is an image of the coming war. He appears on Dali's canvases on the eve of World War II ("Giraffe on fire", 1937). Considering that, according to the artist, “the telephone is a means of transmitting news,” they are not just hot - scorching and even apocalyptic. And in general, the message of the work has an obvious meaning.
