Living in Paris by the beginning of 1988 became unbearable for Vincent van Gogh. His work is still not recognized by the public, so in February, the artist decided to leave the city and move to Arles. Provence immediately captivated him with its colors and abundance of light, despite the fact that everywhere else was snow. It is here that the work of the painter reached its peak, finally formed brushwork. Leaving from Paris, Vincent decided to abandon impressionism in his work.
