Kapustina Alexandra Yurievna

I was born in the Rostov region, in childhood I moved to the Moscow Region with my parents. Father Yuri Kapustin is an artist. She graduated from the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at Moscow State Pedagogical University. She defended her diploma on a topic related to the work of the French pastel artist Edgar Degas. Most of all she is passionate about Western European art, European painting of the 19th century, in particular, the French.

She began to engage in artistic practice more regularly since 2019. I especially liked the material - dry pastel. Mixed media - pastel with acrylic.

I am inspired by the work of old and modern pastelists. For example, the works of the artist Olga Abramova, Elena Tatkina, etc.
