Shanks

Nelson shanks (b. 1937) studied at the University of Kansas and the Art Institute of Kansas city, and then special courses on the art of realism. He also studied under Pietro annigoni for the Academy of fine arts in Florence. Living in Europe, shanks traveled to learn the art of the Old world. A career as an artist shanks started working with such artists as Robert Braakman, Ivan Ola and Edwin Dickinson.

After returning to the U.S., shanks taught at the leading art education institutions. Later he established a school for artists, where they received free accommodation, food and training. In 2002, shanks founded the "Studio Incamminati", which translated from Italian means "those who are progressing". In this school, the artists decided to devote themselves to realism, studied painting for 4 years.
