First he studied at the school of painting, sculpture and architecture where in 1855 and moved the Academy of fine Arts. Here in 1859 he received the title of class artist and at his own expense went to Rome. Upon return from there, in 1863, he exhibited paintings are "the Farewell of Hector with andromaha" and "a Bacchante with a tambourine" and "respect for art and excellent knowledge in the arts, proven exhibited at the Academy and other well-known works recognized as an academician of historical painting".
