Born in the city of Yekaterinburg. In 1901 - 1903 he studied in a parochial elementary school, in 1911 - 1912 - accounting courses at Ekaterinodar industrial school. From 1935 to 1941 worked in the Studio of the Irkutsk branch of the Union of artists at the AP Zhibinov. In 1938 and 1940 was improved at the all-Union seminars WDNT A. Gerasimov, I. Grabar, P. Sokolov-Skal. VOV, he has government awards. A member of the artists Union of the USSR from 1938
