Biography and information

Schedule. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Honored artist of Russia (1998).

In 1956 he graduated from the graphic faculty of the Moscow state art Institute named after V. I. Surikov in the workshop of the book of Professor B. A. dekhterev's.

Since 1954 worked as a painter and Illustrator in the Moscow publishing houses "Children's literature", "Baby", "Soviet Russia" and others. Artist illustrated more than 200 works of Russian and world classical literature.

In 1960 – 1970-e years worked on Pushkin's theme, repeatedly visited places of Pushkin.

Recent years, many works in the field of watercolor.Participant in national and international exhibitions since 1958. Member of USSR Union of Artists since 1961.

Works Itkin are in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Central Museum of A. S. Pushkin in Saint-Petersburg, the Tver regional Museum, the Literary Museum of A. Tolstoy in Samara, the Museum of S. T. Aksakov in Abramtsevo, in private collections of Russia, USA, Israel, and Yugoslavia.
