People's artist of the Uzbek SSR.

One of the brightest representatives of Russian avant-garde.

In 1919 -1921. studied at the Turkestan regional art school in Tashkent, A.V., Isupova, SP Yudin. In 1921, he was drafted into the Red Army after demobilization he taught drawing in the Turkmen teachers College (1925 – 1934), then taught a course in painting in the Tashkent art school (1934 – 1941). He was a member of the Tashkent branch of AHRR (1926-1929). Worked with R. Falk, A. Volkov, M. by Coursenum. Participant of exhibitions since 1928 the artist's exhibitions were held in Tashkent (1960, 1965, 1981). The works of Nikolai Karakhan are in the state Tretyakov gallery (Moscow), the Art Museum. I. V. Savitsky in other regional museums and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
