Pupil of Academy of fine arts. Student Shmidta and Chemesov. He was transferred to the Academy of arts in 1758 the Academy of Sciences. Received medals: in 1765 – 2 silver; in 1766 – 1 silver and 2 gold for engraved portrait of A. A. Matveev; then assigned to the class of engraving a portrait. In 1767, recognized as "designated" and appointed a teacher of engraving class at the Academy of fine arts.
