Alekseevich Larichev

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Born in the village Lesovo Ust-Cuban district. First skills in drawing and painting, received from Vladimir Timofeev Wed school No 1. After graduating from seven-year school in 1937, entered the Ryazan art College, but never finished it. The Great Patriotic war. Larichev went to the front. Brutal battles on the Belarusian front, contusion, captivity, three and a half years of the death camps of Buchenwald and Sachsenhausen, the liberation in spring 1945 This the hard way and shaped the worldview of the artist for years to come. 50 years later, already in the 1980-ies M. A. Larichev created a series of paintings devoted to prisoners of concentration camps.

The main themes of the works of the artist began painting the Northern landscape, portraits of contemporaries, genre sketches. M. A. Larichev – the participant of many regional, all-Union exhibitions. Died in Vologda, where he lived and worked the last time.
