Was born in Kharkov. Elementary art education received from D. Espartero. 1878 – 1883 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of arts. Member Church. Taught at the Kharkiv drawing school of M. author-Ivanova. The nature of creativity is close to the Wanderers. The main theme of creativity – landscapes of Ukraine, including architectural, wrote interiors. One of the artist's works kept in the Tretyakov gallery.
