Member of the Union of artists of Russian Federation since 1974. In 1956-1961, he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - D. N. Butorin, B. M. Nemtinov. In 1961-1991 years worked at the Palekh art-production workshops (1989 - creative-production Union of artists of Russia "Palekh Partnership"). In 1967-1968 he studied at the Leningrad Institute of theatre, music and cinematography. Since 1991 - member of the Cooperative "Palekh".
The world of images I. V. Livanova full of grace and gravitas, it has the warmth of a living sense. Was engaged in monumental painting (the Room of fairy tales Children's musical theater in Moscow (1979-1982)), theatrical-decorative art, scrapbooking. Developed new motifs in the series of miniatures. Together with the artist N. L.Hattenberger, worked on miniature jewelry. Participated in the creation of the iconostasis of the Church of Elijah the Prophet in Palekh (1991-1992). Themes of works: folklore, lyrical genre, landscape, religious.
