Born in the village Kryva Ruda Poltava region of the Ukrainian SSR. From 1960 to 1965 he studied at the Irkutsk art school at V. V. Teterkin and A. I. Vychugzhanina, from 1973 to 1978 at the Irkutsk state pedagogical Institute. CPSU member since 1973 Member of the USSR Union since 1973, From 1970 to 1978, he worked as the Director of itpk HF RSFSR.
