Pavlovich Ossovsky

Born: Malaya Temple, Kirovograd region of Ukraine. Creativity Ossovsky stylistically close to the search of the artists of the sixties, representatives of the so called "severe style". Graduated MGHI them. V. I. Surikov, where he studied with Sergei Gerasimov, Nikolai Maximov, Dmitry Mochalskogo. In 1963 he was awarded the Silver medal of the Academy of the USSR for series of works "the cube". Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Moscow and abroad. People's artist of the USSR. Member of the Academy of arts of the USSR. In 1996, the jubilee exhibition of paintings and drawings by p. P. Ossovsky was held in the Russian Academy of arts. Works of the artist are in the Tretyakov gallery, the Russian Museum, in many regional museums.
