Soviet painter, people's artist of the USSR (1971), full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1967).

He studied at Moscow Vhutemas-Vkhutein (1923-30).

He performed with works on the historical and revolutionary theme ("Frontline Revkom", 1934-35, Sverdlovsk Picture Gallery), interiors ("White Night", 1947, Tretyakov Gallery), but he gained the greatest fame as a master of small landscapes, with soulful lyricism recreating views Russian nature (series "Volga - Russian River", 1944-45, Tretyakov Gallery and other museums; USSR State Prize, 1946); Many of Romadin’s works are characterized by a subtle transmission of evening and night lighting.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, as well as medals.
