In 1938 he entered the Kharkov art College (teachers Kobrin and Porai-Koshits).
His studies were interrupted by the war, which the artist was the senior sailor of the Baltic fleet. Awarded Orders of the Patriotic war II degree and the red star, medals "For military merit", "For defense of Leningrad", "For capture of Koenigsberg".
In 1948 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Painter. Author of genre paintings on the theme of Soviet reality, the history of the revolution. Worked in the genre of political satire for various Moscow publications. Repeatedly awarded diplomas of the Ministry of culture of the USSR.
Solo exhibitions were held in Kronstadt (1939), Leningrad (1942, 1971), Moscow (1972, 1981), Ivanovo (1985).
Works are preserved in various museums of the former USSR.
