He studied in 1933-1937. at the Moscow art-industrial college named after M.I. Kalinin at S.F. Nikolaev, B.N. Lange, E.G. Telyakovsky, in 1938-1939. - in the Studio to them. M. B. Grekov at V. S. Svarog and E. A. Katsman, in 1940-1941. at the Kiev State Art Institute. Participant of exhibitions since 1939. Main works: a series of works on military operations in the Soviet-Japanese war: “On the hills of Manchuria”, “Capitulation”, “Transition of Soviet troops through Big Khingan” (1945, Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the USSR), “Response of mortar guards” (1948 , State Tretyakov Gallery), “The Battle of Mozdok” (1950, Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the USSR), “Stalingrad Panorama” (1962, Volgograd State Museum of Defense), “Partisans” (1977, Main Political Administration of the Armed Forces of the USSR), dioramas: “Alpine Campaign A. V. Suvorov "(1952, Museum-Reserve of A. V. Suvorov" (1952, M bonds Reserve AV Suvorov Konchanskoe Suvorovskyy-Novgorod Region, together with P. T. Maltsau VI Pereyaslavets, NS-In Sekine, A. I. Intezarovym).

 

In 1995, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the artist was awarded the title People's Artist of the RSFSR. Died in 2000
