Valentin
Serapionovich Yushkevich

Born in the village of Snitkovo, Brest region (Belarus). During World War II he was deported to Germany and sent to a concentration camp. Despite the bombing and executions, he survived. In 1966, after graduating from a theological seminary, he became a priest. In recent years, he was a priest in the Church of the Virgin and All Who Sorrow in Moscow. In 1980, he became interested in fine art. During the 1990s he became interested in painting so that he forgot to sleep and eat. Participated in group exhibitions, several personal exhibitions took place in Moscow. The works were presented at the international exhibitions of naive art "INSITA" in Bratislava (Slovakia, 1994 and 1997). His works are in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, the Museum of Naive Art in Moscow and private collections in Russia.
