Director of Rhu 1918-1920, taught: drawing, painting, composition

Painter, honored. art worker of the RSFSR (1932). Studied at Mugusi (1893-97), graduating from Petersburg. AH (1902). Party roar. movement. Lived in Moscow, then in Ryazan. He taught at the Ryazan thin. school (1918-38). Participant of exhibitions since 1889. Pictures on ist.-roar. themes (including "On stage", 1903; "Wounded at the barricades", 1905; "Lenin speaks", 1936), genre paintings, portraits, landscapes.
