Born in 1893 in Budapest. Died in 1963 in Moscow. In the first world war was in Russian captivity (1915), was in the Siberian camps, later fought in the partisans against Kolchak. Worked as an artist in the political Department of the East Siberian military district, where in 1920 he was sent to study in Moscow. Here he graduated from the VHUTEIN (1926), was a teacher and Vice-rector of the Institute. Until 1938 worked as a graphic designer. 23.03.1938 arrested For "counterrevolutionary activities" sentenced by the OSO of the NKVD of 8 years in the GULAG, followed by disqualification. Born in 1893 in Budapest, in the family of a military tailor. In 1914 he was drafted to the war. In 1915 he was captured in Russia, from 1915 to 1919 he was in Siberia, in concentration camps for prisoners of war. At the end of 1919, after the liberation of prisoners of war, participated in the liquidation of Czecho-Slovak uprising, after which he entered the service in the political Department of the East Siberian Military district as a painter. At the end of 1920 sent to Moscow to study. From 1920 to 1924 he studied in VHUTEMAS. In November 1921 he married V. S. Kizevalter, also a student at VKHUTEMAS. From 1924 to 1927 (inclusive), worked in VKHUTEMAS as a Professor, Dean and prodekan the main compartment. С1928 March 1930 worked in Vhuteine as Vice-rector of studies, Deputy Director and teacher. In 1925 he joined the Communist party. In 1927, took Soviet citizenship. From 1930 to 1937 he worked first as a graphic designer at the city hall in the planning authority, then the chief artist of Moscow. 23 Aug 1937 denounced was expelled from the party and removed from the work. February 20, 1938, was rehabilitated and reinstated in the party. March 23 was followed by the arrest. In June 1938, V. S. Toot was sentenced to 8 years in camps under article 58 of the criminal code, paragraph 10 (counter-revolutionary activities). In 1939, V. S. Kizevalter has achieved reconsideration of the case, but with the visa of the public Prosecutor "to stop the deal" in the papers V. S. Toota – the inscription "the Prosecutor's request to cancel". Settled on "the 101st kilometer", in Aleksandrov.
