Biography and information

A peasant by birth, was educated in the district five-class school for the nobility in Molodechno Vilna province. He graduated from the Academy of arts in 1863, was awarded the title of a free artist.

Three years later he received the title of class artist of the 3rd degree and was determined by the student in the Mosaic Department. Along with the mosaic was returned to painting in 1875, on the Academic exhibition was exhibited its work. Since 1876 – academician of the puzzle.

Student of the Academy of arts from 1856 till 1863 1863 is the title of a free artist painting; in 1866 – the title of class artist of 3 degrees. Studied mosaic from 1866 To 1870 – the title of class artist of 2 degrees in painting and in the same year – the youngest artist mosaic; in 1874 – the title of class artist of 1 degree mosaic; in 1876, – the academician of the mosaic for the execution of two goals in the form of "Kiss of Judas" for St. Isaac's Cathedral; in 1885 appointed a senior artist. He was dismissed from service in 1899
