Born in Saratov in the family of academician L.N. Yasnopolskogo. All her childhood and youth were spent in Kiev, where her father lectured at the university. The beauty and grandeur of her native city, widely spread on high hills over the Dnieper, the wealth and diversity of architecture - all gradually influenced the development of its artistic interests and hobbies. To this must be added the constant influence of music - the father was an excellent pianist, and the mother was a singer.
Very early, the girl began to work in watercolor. This flexible, thin and difficult technique most deeply answered her understanding of beauty. In her childhood she spent the summer in Koktebel (her father was acquainted with M. Voloshin) and the famous poet presented her watercolor to Vera.
In 1931, the family moved to Moscow and Vera Leonidovna in 1933 entered the Architectural Institute, which she graduated in 1940. After finishing, she worked in the AV workshop for some time. Shchusev, and then the professor MP Parusnikova: participated in the design of buildings in Minsk, in the project to restore the center of Stalingrad, in the design of a sanatorium in Sochi, and other objects. She was greatly impressed by an exhibition of watercolors by A.V. in 1950. Fonvizin. She met the artist, became his student. Creatively, Fonvizin’s style was extremely close to her. During these years of study, she grew up as an independent artist, and in the future for many years maintained friendly relations with A.V. Fonvizin.
The main theme of creativity of the Faith Yasnopolskaya are flowers. Their fragile beauty constantly inspires her and it is in watercolor technique that one can most fully capture the beauty and diversity of the joyful world. In the few portraits she knows how to subtly convey the inner world of a person; especially close to her female images. V.L. Yasnopolskaya repeatedly participated in exhibitions of the Union of Architects, which consists of since 1941.
In 1954 her works were exhibited in London at the exhibition of architectural drawing. Later, she participated in exhibitions in Novosibirsk, Kiev, Moscow, together with the artist B.A. Smirnov-Rusetsky. Works V.L. Yasnopolskaya are in the art gallery of Novosibirsk, in the Museum of Fine Arts Kara-Kalpakii (Nukus), in private collections.
