Born in Palekh. Older brother M. I. Shemarov. In 1914-1918 he studied at the educational workshops of the Committee of guardianship of Russian iconography. Teacher, I. M. Bakanov, I. E. Banners. In the 1930-ies he worked in the Artel of ancient painting. Died in 1941. Themes of works: folklore, genre scenes.
