in Russia and abroad.

Born in 1938 in Leningrad. He studied at the school (Art school, now St. Petersburg state Lyceum. B. V. iogansona) (teachers: M. G. Kozell, M. Y. Perepelkin, V. V. Lebedev).

In 1963 he graduated from the faculty of graphics of Academy of Arts Institute. I. E. Repin (teachers: A. A. Troshichev, M. A. Taranov, V. M., Zvontsov, V. A. Vetrogonsky, V. V. Smirnov).

From 1963 to 2008 taught at the faculty of graphic arts (Dean of the faculty of graphics of the faculty of advanced training of teachers, head of personal creative workshop of easel graphics).

By M. M. Gerasimov are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg state Museum of theatrical and musical art, St. Petersburg Museum of history of St. Petersburg and in private collections in Russia, USA, France, South Korea and other countries.
