Born in Urdzhar, Semipalatinsk region. In 1969 he graduated from the Moscow higher art-industrial College (former. Stroganov). He joined the Union of artists of the USSR in 1971, in the early 1990s, was Deputy Chairman of the Union of artists of Kazakhstan. He currently lives and works in Minsk.
