He graduated from the art faculty of VGIK (1967). "Emigrated" from Spain in 1938 at the age of three. He was educated in the Ivanovo international children's home, graduated from Ivanovo art College, worked 4 years in the Ivanovo theatre, and after graduating from VGIK -- the Odessa film Studio.
