Born October 14, 1925 in the village Shamati-Lovo Taborskeho district of Sverdlovsk region. In 1942 he enrolled in Ekaterinburg (former Sverdlovsk) art school. In 1943-44 he was a student of Military-medical school. In 1944, sent to the front in the Polish Army, where he served until 1946. After demobilization he continued his studies at the art school, from which he graduated in 1952. Until 1957 he worked as a drawing teacher in the city of Borovsk of the Perm region, was then adopted on a permanent job in the artistic workshops of the Perm branch of Union of artists of Russia. Since 1953, he participated in exhibitions of the organization, in 1963 became a member of the Union of artists. She died on 1 Jan 1997 in Perm.

The work of Aleksandr Ivanovich Repin went far beyond the Kama, becoming a phenomenon in many respects determined the development of landscape painting in the Urals in the 60-90-ies of XX century.

Alexander Repin was born 14 October 1925 in the village Shalabayeva Sverdlovsk region. In 1942 he enrolled in Ekaterinburg (former Sverdlovsk) art school, which to finish, however, did not, as became a student of Military-medical school (1943-1944). In 1944 he was sent to the front and served in the Polish Army. Demobilized in June 1945, he continued his studies at the Sverdlovsk art school, completing it in 1952. Thesis, A. I. Repina became the genre composition "Mamin-Siberian and Denisov-Uralsky". And then he started teaching the path of the A. I. Repina: until 1957 he taught painting in the city of Borovsk (now a district of Solikamsk). Accepted for permanent work in the art workshops of the Perm branch of Union of artists of Russia, and A. I. Repin, 1953, participated in exhibitions, in 1963, was accepted as a member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

A. I. Repin participated in many regional and I, II, III and VII zonal exhibitions in the Sverdlovsk, Perm, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, group exhibitions of artists of the Urals in Moscow, he has held several solo exhibitions in Perm, as well as an exhibition in Borovsk-Berezniki. A. I. Repin are in the collections of the Perm art gallery, the city art gallery, Solikamsk Museum of local lore, the Museum of the history of the Industrial district of Perm, in the Art Fund of Russia, the Ministry of culture of Russia and in private collections in Germany, Italy, USA, Japan and Russia. The Critic NN.In.Kazarinova, speaking about the stages of development of the Perm fine arts in the twentieth century, noted that in the late 1970-ies in Perm planned movement of non-conformists, at the origins it was "A. Repin, and young artists are the People with the street." In another work, N.In.Kazarinov wrote: "Repin has had a considerable influence on the youth of his serious attitude to work, constant dissatisfaction, a persistent desire to master the secrets of mastery. He first turned to serious studies of nature. Then the artist puts before itself the task of creating this landscape, which synthesized ideas about the Urals." Viewers remembered these artist's works as "Before the storm" (1967), "On the lake" (1969), "Summer", "the Bridge in the mouth" (both 1972), "Industrial landscape. Gubakha", "Kama" (both 1974), "Ural" (1975), "Apotheosis", "the Silence" (both 1980), "Spring is coming" (1984), "Stone belt" (1988-1989), "Catharsis", "Outer space" (both 1991) and many others. Speaking about the role of A. I. Repin in the artistic life of our region, art historian O. M. Vlasov wrote: "the Artist Alexander Repin was a Person with extraordinary view of the world, with a sharp distinction of truth and falsehood, with a huge beautiful talent. He learned to appreciate life in all its manifestations and know how to support it in others. First of all, the artists...".

Unfortunately, A. I. Repin did not have time to get a well-deserved award - the title of Honored artist of the Russian Federation, although the documents he was preparing. Death followed a serious illness of January 1, 1997, terminated the life and career of a remarkable artist.
