Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Was born in the village Helmeste in Estonia. In 1952 he graduated from the State art Institute of the Estonian SSR in Tallinn (the Department of artistic treatment of glass under the direction of M. Roosma), and after graduation remained at the Institute in teaching. From 1955 – worked at LSHS, 1957-1958 part-time at the Department of ceramics and glass industrial art to them. V. I. Mukhina. Created vases for flowers and candy, devices for water, milk, juice, compote, wine, dishes, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, bowls, Cutlery for dessert, ashtrays, sigaretnyy, sculpture. For creativity O. L. jürgen characterized by the use of the colorless, sulfide – zinc glass, techniques of embossing, matte and ultrasonic engraving, sandblasting, wide edge, free blowing. Carried out joint work with H. M. Põld, E. V. Yanovskaya, N. A. Savin, Vladimir Feelinit. Member of national and international exhibitions, works were exhibited at the exhibition "Art glass" in GE (1967), was awarded a silver medal VDNH USSR (1960, 1968), two gold medals at the International fair in Leipzig (1968) and the exhibition of porcelain and glass "in Jablonec nad 73" (Czechoslovakia, 1973). In 1959 - consisted of the Union of artists of USSR. Works are in state Russian Museum, Elaginoostrovsky Palace – Museum, etc.
