Soviet painter and draughtsman. Studied (1929 — 1932) in the Russian Academy of arts in Leningrad and at the Polygraphic Institute in Moscow. During the great Patriotic war created a large number of works devoted to the defense of Moscow, Stalingrad battle and the storming of Berlin.
Honored art worker of the RSFSR, laureate of the State prize of the USSR, was born in 1902 in Sochi (now Volgograd). In 1932 he graduated from Moscow printing Institute. Studied with A. Goncharova, I. Mashkov, N. Radlov. During the great Patriotic war on jobs the Main political administration of the red army and of the Committee on art Affairs of the USSR visited the battle sites near Moscow, in the South-Western, Bryansk fronts, the Orel-Kursk bulge, Stalingrad, the Soviet zone of Berlin, as a front-line artist worked in the "Windows TASS", the newspaper "Pravda".
Private. Awarded the order "badge of Honor", the red banner of Labor and medals ("For combat zaslugi", "For defense of Moscow" "For defence of Stalingrad", "For victory over Germany in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945" and others. Since 1927 he has participated in exhibitions. In 1932 became a member of Moscow Union of artists.
The result of creative trips to the Donbas, the Volga, to foreign countries, was a picture of "Nikita Izotov instructs miners", "A. Stakhanov and the miners of Donbass", "the Firstborn of the first five years of the Stalingrad tractor works", paintings and graphic series: "Volgograd", "Friendly India", "New China", "Korea", "Egypt". In 1949 was awarded the State prize of the USSR. In 1951, awarded the title "Honored worker of arts of RSFSR". In 1952 he received the title of Professor. In 1959, 1962, 1965, 1973, held solo exhibitions in Moscow, Volgograd, Ryazan, Kursk, Kazan.
Has diplomas of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR and the Moscow Union of artists of the RSFSR. Major works: "members of the Komsomol metro" (1935), "Write workers-до6ровольцев to the front" (1938), "A. S. Shcherbakov guerrillas near Moscow" (1942), "Portrait of the commander of the 64th army, General-Lieutenant M. S. Shumilov" (1943), "V. I. Lenin with the workers of the Central Asian republics" (1970).
Works are in State Tretyakov gallery, State Russian Museum, State Museum of fine arts. Pushkin museums of Volgograd, Gorlovka, Naberezhnye Chelny, Royal Academy of arts in London, art galleries of the Indian Parliament. Died K. I. Finogenov in July 1989.
