Giza-Ciobanu

Alexander Giza-Ciobanu (Alex Ghizea-Ciobanu) – the modern Moldovan painter. Born in 1988 in the town of Dubossary (Moldova). Kahulsky graduated from children's art school where he later taught for three years (2009-2012). In parallel was engaged in self-study exploring the works of old masters, the main school of painting. In the process of self-education and teaching of the young artist realized that this was not enough, and decided to obtain higher education in the painting class. In search of yourself, the road led him into a centre of European art in Venice, Italy. In 2016, he graduated from the Venice Academy of fine Arts, majoring in "Painting restoration". Currently lives and works in Venice, participates in projects. For example, in February-March 2016 participated in the reconstruction work of Saul Levitt (Sol Lewitt) "Wall Drawing #343" at the Punta della Dogana, Venezia, exhibited in the period from April to November 2016. Also, the artist is not limited to painting, doing crafts and performing arts: Venetian masks handmade decorations to one of the most significant annual events in the Venice Carnival and the Grand Ball of Casanova (Casanova Grand Ball).
In his works, the artist explores the alternative views of familiar objects and phenomena, as well as the vision of art in General: "Humanity lacks aesthetic education. People need to feel and understand the line between art and kitsch not only to buy the painting. Aesthetic education is something that can and should be used every day: to pick the right clothes, find your style, and not blindly follow fashion. Or competently and with taste to furnish the house. Art is also the ability to solve everyday problems beautifully. Therefore it is necessary, first, to distinguish between disposable sneakers and boots are handmade."
