Description of the artwork «P.S.»
This abstract is dedicated to one of French artist Paul Cézanne's masterpieces, The Bathers
A complex character and difficult to understand his contemporaries painting. In it, Cézanne tried to convey the classics and modernity, the laws of great style and the right to individuality. He was a painter who obeyed exclusively the inner properties of his soul, rather than the demands of the artistic community.
Over time, Paul Cézanne became interested in watercolor, after which he transferred the properties of these colors (lightness and transparency) in oil painting.
He began to limit himself to three colors: green, blue and ochre, mixed with the white of the canvas itself. This approach allowed Cézanne to achieve the maximum meaningful artistic result with a minimum of means.
"Color is the point where our brain makes contact with the universe," he said.
