Valentin Alekseevich Gubarev, a Belarusian artist, was born in Nizhny Novgorod on April 14, 1948.
He successfully graduated first at the Gorky Art College and then at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, Faculty of Graphics.
Since 1975, he has lived in Belarus. Worked as an illustrator and artist in a book publishing house. Since 1991 has taken an active part in exhibitions.
Valentin Alekseevich's amazing works have been highly appreciated and recognized in many countries, and are also a collector's item among connoisseurs of naive painting, the genre that the artist chose for his creations. Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists.
The characters in his paintings are ordinary, simple people who live their lives with all their sorrows and joys. They are naive, unselfish and pure of heart.
Valentin Gubarev's works are in the National Art Museum of Belarus, Zimmerly Art Museum (USA), Schaer und Wildbolz (Switzerland), Kunststuck (Germany), Les Tournesols (France), as well as in private collections in Russia, USA, England, Japan, Spain, Israel, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Poland and Turkey.
