Sapozhnikov. Diploma in decorative workshop of P. S. Utkin. During his studies, designed the books in 1927 (the poem, AA Block "Twelve", etc.) the Participant of exhibitions since 1927. Igor Alexandrovich Ershov was born in 1907 in a family of musician in the mountains. Kamyshin, Saratov region. In 1930 Igor finishes the Saratov art school. He recalls with gratitude I. Ershov his first teachers of P. S. Utkin, A. A. Saporita, B. V. Milovidova. Creative activity of the artist had already begun in 1927 to participate at the 5th anniversary exhibition of paintings of the Saratov
school of painting.
By the early 30-ies, is the first acquaintance of the artist with Central Asia. Large themed painting "the Birth of a son" painter participates in the first exhibition of Tajik literature and art in Moscow in 1941.
During the great Patriotic war I. A. Ershov working as a correspondent in the operating units of the Soviet Army. In the paintings of these years displayed the glorious path traversed by the heroic Soviet Army from Odessa to Kenigsberga.
In the post-war period, the artist takes an active part in all Republican and all-Union art exhibitions.
