Born in Moscow in 1934, he graduated from Art school. 1905.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, worked successfully as a book Illustrator and master of the art of the poster.
In 1974 he was awarded first prize for the best Soviet poster of the year.
Work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the USSR, Poland, France, England and Belgium, when, and gained international fame (I executed posters for the Vienna Opera and the new York city ballet).
In 1975 moved to new York in the group of Soviet nonconformist artists (including Ernst Neizvestny, Oleg Tselkov, Lydia Masterkova, Mikhail Roginsky, Vitaly Komar and Alexander Melamid, Alexander Leonov, and others)
In the late 70's I was invited to work as a main artist at the famous show of David Letterman (the prototype of the "Evening Urgant"), as well as in the show Saturday Night Live, where I successfully worked for more than 25 years.
Today my work can be seen in many galleries in new York held solo exhibitions in Washington, Santa Fe (nm), Philadelphia, Phoenix (AZ).
