Description of the artwork «Night. Goddess of the moon»

The decorative panel is dedicated to the moon goddess (at the Mordovians Moksha, Erzya - Kovava). The decorative solution reflects the past - a night in a village with chaotic buildings of houses and the moon floating above them in the form of a goddess.

The work combines three types of decorative art: painting on fabric, hand embroidery and art ceramics. The background is made with paints for painting fabrics using the technique of cold and nodular batik. The background is complemented by embroidery on the pull out of the fabric - a hem. Some fragments of the background are stretched with twine on a wooden decorative stretcher. The main elements are made of clay as semi volume medals with the image of the moon, stars and architectural objects.
