The work "Blue Lagoon", 2019 (oil on brass, 30x20 cm) took 1st place at the International Exhibition-Competition "Golden Time Talent United Kingdom Award 2020" in the category "Painting"
The painting was painted using the author's technique Oρείχαλκος - oil on brass. I was always inspired by the seascapes of Claude Monet, but oil painting on canvas, made with pasty strokes, is a short-lived technique: paints lose their brightness, a thick layer of oil cracks and fades, unpainted places on the canvas lose their brightness and stop reflecting light. I wanted to create a painting that would preserve for posterity the brightness of colors, the truth of life and the splendor of the colors of the nature of the blue lagoon.
