Takashi Murakami. Change the rules!

Larry Gagosian Gallery in Hong Kong presents an exhibition of Takashi Murakami “Change the rules!”. The exhibition presents new paintings and sculptures by the Japanese maestro of pop art. The exhibition demonstrates Murakami's corporate identity, combining painting with pop culture, which results in abstract works.

Murakami easily mixes commercial images, anime, manga, traditional Japanese styles and objects. So he reveals the themes and questions linking past and present, East and West, technology and fantasy. His paintings, sculptures and films are inhabited by repetitive motifs and evolving characters.
