8th Tashkent Biennale of Contemporary Art

The 8th Tashkent Biennale of Contemporary Art was held from 10 to 14 October 2018. The theme of the biennale is “Art and Technology. Pros and cons". The event was attended by over 150 participants from 25 countries in Europe, Russia, the USA and Latin America, Southeast and Central Asia. The biennale included lectures by a Russian artist and theorist, the chairman of the jury of the Biennale Dmitry Bulatov and Svetlana Baskova, a Russian artist, curator of the project “Simple Figures”. Biennale exhibitions were held in museums and exhibition halls of Tashkent and Bukhara.
