Gallery David Zwirner in Hong Kong presents an exhibition of new works by the artist of Canadian origin Marcel Zama " Cross the line"The exhibition includes drawings, dioramas and films created after the wizard’s recent trip to Hong Kong. The artist combines elements of theater and carnival with elements of war and conflict to create an unusual vision, both playful and gloomy.

The world of Marcel Dzama goes back to the history of traditional illustration, visually referring to the classics of the 20s and 30s of the last century. The artist creates a personal, fully identifiable iconography, with repetitive images that perform rather strange actions, creating an atmosphere full of humor, irony, anxiety and absurdity.

Marcel Zama was born in 1974 in Canada. He studied at the University of Manitoba. Now the artist lives in New York, then in his native Manitoba. The artist's works are in the collections of major museums and public institutions.
