Andrey Gurenko. Camera lucida

Gallery "ABC-art" is a personal exhibition of Andrei Gurenko "Camera lucida ". New works of the artist reveal the section of author mythology, partially visualized in his previous projects. The author narrates the artistic story for years, transforming, varying in details, but retaining the original matrix. This approach provides the master with an unlimited space of visual meanings.
Literally camera lucida (Latin light room) is an optical device in which the rays of light, passing through a prism and reflected in a mirror mounted at an angle, give an image of an object. In a figurative sense, the camera-lucida - this is the artistic vision.
Andrey Gurenko was born in 1970 in Kiev. He graduated from the Kiev Technological Institute of Light Industry, a diploma of artist-designer. Works in the field of painting, graphics and land art. Member of the All-Ukrainian Creative Union of Artists "BZH-Art". Works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Sweden, USA, Australia, Croatia. He lives and works in Kiev.
