42-th Russian Antique Salon

Exhibition March 25 − April 2, 2017
From 25 March to 02 April 2017 in the Central House of the artist is 42-th Russian Antique Salon project, which for more than twenty years twice a year brings together leading antique galleries. A particular interest of visitors attracted by special exhibition of the Salon "Thousand and one tale of the East", dedicated to the traditional national costume, jewelry and decorative arts of the Muslim countries and countries with a long under the influence of Islam. The exhibition presents the products of the XIX – early XX century from Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan), Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, the countries of the Maghreb (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria), countries in the Arabian Peninsula (Yemen, Oman, Egypt), Turkey, Bulgaria, Macedonia.

Gallery "Eurasia" is a unique collection of Chinese porcelain, which includes a wide range of works, starting from the period of the sung (960-1279 gg.) and ending the 70-ies of XX century.

The exposition of the gallery "St. Petersburg art dealer" are works that embody harmony in bronze and painting. On the stand - the work of the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin and Alexander Archipenko in the background of works of Russian painting.

Antique salon "Russian modern" presents paintings by Grigory Bobrovsky, Viktor Borisov-Musatov, Isaak Brodsky, Stepan Kolesnikov, Konstantin Korovin, Alexander Benois graphics and Lancer.

At the gallery "French house" are works of the outstanding Russian artists who were part of the famous artistic Association "World of art". Among the exhibits are allocated 10 works by Alexander Benois from the series "the Wedding of Cupid and psyche," female portrait by Konstantin Somov, and painted with tempera portrait of Zhenya, the son of the artist Zinaida Serebryakova.

Gallery "Kardasidis art" presents the work of artists of the Russian Diaspora. Among the exhibits - landscapes of Alexei Grischenko, still lifes Evgeny Shiryaev and other works of art created by artists of the Russian Diaspora in the 1920s and 1930s, as well as animal sculptures George Artemov.

All in all, spring Salon prinimaut by about 200 galleries from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Borovsk, Volgorechensk, Irkutsk, Samara, Saratov, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl. In addition, visitors will be able to see and evaluate proposals from foreign project participants from Germany, Italy, USA, France and Belarus.
