500 years of Western painting from the collection of the Tokyo Museum of Art Fuji

Masterpieces of Western art of the 16th-20th centuries are on display at the MusePowerlongum in Shanghai. At an exhibition called "500 years of Western painting from the collection of the Tokyo Museum of Art Fuji»60 works of such masters as Pablo Picasso, Paul Cezanne and Edouard Manet are presented.

The exhibition includes works by Giovanni Bellini and Tintoretto, Georges de Latour, The Triumph of Venus by François Boucher, such famous works as The Dove by Picasso, The Water Lilies by Claude Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir’s collection illustrating feminine beauty.

“The exhibition will promote cultural exchanges between China and Japan as part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Sino-Japanese Peace and Friendship Treaty, signed in August 1978,” said Dan Xiaoxian, vice president of the Shanghai International Cultural Association.
