Grigory Palatnikov. Painting & Graphics

In the Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art, an exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Grigory Palatnikova. The exhibition presents the master's work over the past 5 years. The author designed the two-volume book of Ilf and Petrov “The Twelve Chairs” and “The Golden Calf”, the story of Kozachinsky “The Green Van”, as well as his own book “My Amarcord”. The 2006 Iliad series, collages, paintings and color graphics in pastels are also presented to the audience. The author's technique in working with mascara combines the classical style of the traditions of Chinese masters and European plastics.

Grigory Arkadyevich Palatnikov was born in 1946 in the Odessa region. He graduated from the art school named after M. Grekov, continued his studies at the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art. V.I. Mukhina. Since 1974, he began exhibition activities, since 1977 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 2009 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine". The participant of many regional, republican, foreign and international art exhibitions, laureate and winner of the republican competitions "Art of the Book". The works are in museums of Ukraine and in private collections in many foreign countries.
