Jitish Callat was born in 1974 and is one of the most famous and respected Indian artists in the international arena. For more than 20 years, his vast and deeply reflecting work has drawn an imaginary map connecting everyday with cosmic.
"Phase transition"- This is the third solo exhibition of Jitis Calat in Paris, dedicated to the artist's return to painting after almost a five-year hiatus.
Over the past five years, Kallat's long-time enthusiasm for ideas of time, transience, life support and cosmology has taken the form of large elementary drawings, as well as animated videos, photographs and sculptures.
