Professionals - professionals

Exhibition February 2 − March 2, 2019
The Jewish cultural center “Beit Grand” in Odessa hosts an exhibition of painting, initiated by artists as part of a large-scale project “Professionals - professionals". The works of Ekaterina Shadrina, Andrey Gerasimyuk, Igor Terekhov, Anastasia Kirilina, Yana Barabash, created in different styles and genres are presented.

Watercolors by Andrei Gerasimyuk are distinguished by lyricism. Odessa on them looks elegant and joyful, decorated with parks and fountains, bridges and magnificent buildings.

Igor Terekhov transmits mood in semitones — he presented a series of landscapes that capture the slow movement of time, and sometimes its absence. The works feel the energy of calm and balance.

Nastya Kirilina demonstrates large and bright canvases. In her paintings, objects and objects are always worked out textured, clearly, with pronounced highlights. Optimistic sound and integrity are present in both color and compositional solution of each of the works.

Landscapes and still lifes of Yana Barabash are carefully designed, rich and multi-layered. In the works, many elements that are organically interrelated with each other, form the sound of space: the foreground - with the prescribed, clear forms, the back - with a large number of smaller, but important nuances.

Catherine Shadrina depicts animals, fairy-tale characters. They can be sweet, kind and at the same time mysterious and incomprehensible. The author is experimenting with the technique of acrylic bas-relief.
