Boris Rapoport and Alexander Babak. Kanev

The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko hosts the exhibition of Boris Rapoport and Alexander BabakKanev". The exhibition demonstrates the transformation of the image of the city of Kanev in the canvases of artists of different generations who glorify the beauty of its landscapes. The project reveals the theme of landscape as an artistic phenomenon through the work of two artists who are classics of their time. Boris Rapoport worked in Kanev in the 1940s – 60s, Alexander Babak was in practice in 1979.

Oleksandr Babak was born in Kiev, lives and works in the Poltava region. He graduated from the Republican art school and Kiev State Art Institute. Since 1988 - Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Boris Rapoport (1922 - 2006) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Moldova. He graduated from the Kiev art school. Participated in republican, all-union and foreign exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1950. Master of lyrical landscape.
