A game with masterpieces: from Henri Matisse to Marina Abramovich

Exhibition February 14 − April 14, 2019
Jewish Center for Art and Tolerance holds an unusual exhibition “A game with masterpieces: from Henri Matisse to Marina Abramovich”... The exhibition presents various areas of contemporary art: from cubism to video art. Visitors will see the works of foreign and domestic artists: Kazimir Malevich, Francis Bacon, Roy lichtenstein, Viktor Pivovarov, Natalia Goncharova, Alberto Giacometti, Anselm Kiefer, Niko Pirosmani and many others.

The exhibition will include selected works of the XX and XXI centuries, incl. "Three figures in the field" Kazimir Malevich, "Sketch of the head of George Dyer»Francis Bacon and others. In addition, multiple installations, available tactile models and different levels of accommodation allow children and adults to contact the exhibits and turn the exhibition into a fascinating attraction.

The concept of the exhibition is aimed at relieving children from boredom when visiting a museum, and adults from fear of not understanding art in general, and modern art in particular. The works of different eras, schools, styles and trends here become a single statement, the purpose of which is to tell about the universality of art, help people engage in dialogue with it and allow the emotional to prevail over the rational.
